After winning the 5^th series of X Factor in 2008, Alexandra Burke has become the second most successful winner of the show. Burke has collaborated with famous names such as Pitbull and Flo-Rida and hasn’t even reached the ages of 23. Her debut album reached number one in the UK Albums Chart with many of her singles reaching the top ten as well as number one. Currently, Burke has been touring and her All Night Long Tour has taken her all over the UK and Ireland. Alongside her recording career, Burke teamed up with boy band JLS to release a fashion line called 2KX including men and women’s clothing and underwear. Alexandra Burke has also now become a fashion trend setter and has been seen on numerous accounts wearing gorgeous Lipsy dresses. She looked absolutely dazzling in a sparkly silver sequin dress from Lipsy when she performed on This Morning television programme and was spotted in a hot pink Lipsy dress with black high heeled boots. I’m about to fly too LA and thought I would do a quick Blog! Firstly, I hope you are all well and smiling. I’ve so so busy in the studio finishing off my second album. Still some work to do as I want it to be perfect for you all.
I don’t think you guys realise how excited I am for you all to hear the magic being created!

As you may of heard. I recently recorded with the uber talented Swizz Beats - a song entitled ‘Show Off’ scheduled to feature on his forthcoming album. We had a blast recording that song in New York around 5am in the morning! Swizz is awesome.

What have you all been up too? Personally, I’m missing my #Beasties!! I Cant wait to be back into promotion…

Alex recently caught the ear of super producer and rapper Swizz Beatz while working the studio, the resulting meeting led to Alex featuring on his new album on the track “Show Off”  Check out the pic from the session.

Alex took some time out from the studio and joined some of her Irish fans last week at a signing event at the HMV store in Cork.

I thought the time was due for another blog!! :-) I’ve just got back from Miami where I was enjoying a friends wedding and done a few things out there which I can’t share as yet.. but all in good time.
I heard the weather in London was amazing. I hear there was a HEATWAVE!! Wish I was here to enjoy that but I did get back in time to enjoy the rare sunshine here. I have been enjoying the sunshine this weekend with my family, doing BBQ’s, roast dinners and enjoying some Pimms! lol, (Yummy)

I’m really looking forward to the Royal wedding! The countdown begins! It’s going to be one of the most amazing moments that we all witness. I just can’t wait. I haven’t started my collection of the Royal wedding goodies.. but I shall start asap!!

Second album is coming along nicely and I can’t wait for you all to hear the music! It makes me so happy being in the studio creating and writing for you all, with amazing producers and songwriters. It shouldn’t be too long now till it is done….
